Start with the checklist

If you only take one thing from this page, take the Home Fall Risk Checklist. It covers eight areas of the home in about forty-five minutes, ends with a short priority list, and gives you a written plan sorted into what to fix today, this month, and later. Everything else here builds on it.

Why printable, in 2026

Because a checklist works best in the room it describes. You cannot easily judge whether a stair edge is visible or a rail is at the right height while scrolling a phone in your other hand. Paper also makes this a shared job — one person reads, the other looks — which matters when a family is working through it together.

Everything on this page is designed to be printed on an ordinary home printer, in type large enough to read without reaching for glasses.

More free guidance

Beyond the printables, the whole library is free to read: room-by-room fall prevention, aging in place, mobility and balance, and caregiver support for families helping from a distance.
